I wrote my first novel at age nine, an SF space pirates saga that went about 25 pages. That was in Minneapolis. We moved to Glendale in 1959. After San Jose State I did a stint in the navy. Lived in NorCal from 1967 to 1981; then back to SoCal. In 1975 SFSU awarded me the first BA Degree in Semiotics. Since then many have taken that degree. I taught English in Watts and write novels, four of which are available at www.richardwinston.com
